Julian Assange Granted Bail, Swedish Prosecutor to Appeal

Troubled WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange, who had been arrested in Britain last week on allegations of sex crimes, has been granted bail today by a British judge. Assange appeared in a courtroom in central London on Tuesday to fight his extradition to Sweden in a sex-crimes investigation. Earlier this week, Assange spoke from his prison cell to defend himself and offer harsh criticism to the financial companies that suspended payments and services to WikiLeaks.
