Today I was lucky enough to see an art talk with Parra at the SF Moma. From skateboarding to comics this is the art of a subculture boiling up from obscurity while still being legit enough to matter. It's very important in current culture to be true to oneself. Breaking the rules can make new rules. Different ideas emerge.
