NASA | Swift and Hubble Probe an Asteroid Crash
Despite what the movies tell us, asteroid collisions are relatively rare events, even in a region of space with many asteroids, such as our own asteroid belt. Using the Swift and Hubble telescopes, scientists have been able to observe these occasional collisions.
